After Christmas Caroling at Adam, Eddie B, Andy & Luke's
12/18/04
Ryan enjoys the company of our guests. In the kitchen, Jesse and Luke take advantage of the good chow. As Luke stuffs his face in the background, Josh relaxes with a hot beverage.
Dave and Benj sit in the warm glow of the Christmas tree. Ryan takes a sip of his piping hot wassail. Fusty joins Benj in front of the tree as the guys hang out.
While Jake plays some ping pong, Brit and Joanna shoot some pool . . . with their eyes closed! Jake slaps the ping pong back in a highly contested game. Sarah, Angie, Amanda and Rosie play a game of Dutch Blitz. Sarah, Angie and Amanda smile for the camera.
Two friends from Roanoke play a game of air hockey. Fusty joins the downstairs party, full of Dutch Blitz, Pool, Ping Pong & Air Hockey. Isaac shows his mastery of the pool table with this tricky behind-the-back shot.
Andy uses the more traditional method of playing pool. Andy shoots as Joanna and Rosie sit and enjoy each other's company. Zac and Jake seem to enjoy the sight of the ping pong table they just knocked down. Rhoda and Andy give Zac and Jake a hand as the raise the ping pong table.
Being lazy bums, Jake and Zac play a game of air hockey while sitting! In a battle of the blue-jean-and-gray-hooded-sweatshirt-wearing-guys, Zac appears to have the upper hand on Jake. Rhoda watches the air hockey action. Meanwhile, upstairs, Steve reads a mag while Josh, Rhoda, Rosie, Andy and someones feet hang out.
Wow, Steve is really enjoying reading about President Bush's decisive victory which gave W a clear mandate (as the magazine cover states) for his second term. W won 53% of the vote, winning a true majority for the first time since his father, something Bill Clinton never did. While Rhoda for some reason tries to hide from the camera (as if that even works), Josh and Rosie relax. During a game of Bash-A-Friend, Jake takes Adam's spot as the Basher as Luke looks on. Joanna bashes Adam, taking advantage of the fact that he's trying to take pictures for this website.
During a FRIENDLY, NON-GAMBLING, NON-COMPETITIVE game of Kemps, NOT Poker, Joanna, Jake, Luke, Rhoda, Sarah and Andy (l-r around the circle) try to give the winning sign to their teammate. An overhead shot provides a glimpse into the game that is Kemps. Rhoda, Sarah, Andy, Joanna and Jake smile and laugh as they play a friendly and harmless game of Kemps.
Actually taken a while ago at Wayne and Erma Wieland's after the Traveling Dinner, a group of guys plays Uno while Wayne looks on.

CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!!!
12/16/04
Emily, Justin, Chris and Sarah hang out in the kitchen before the PARTY starts. A mass of misses mingle around the mess area while meals are meticulously made. Hanging out in the kitchen. Eddie B and Benj chit-chat while Tate passes through the kitchen in search of food.
Way to go, Chris! Matt looks over the crowd as the pizzas bake. Camera-shy Joanna tries in vain to hide from the camera.
Chris checks the temp in the oven as he prepares to throw his pizza in. A group loads their pizza up with lots of toppings. Jimmily and Josh chow down on their groups pizza. Rosie shows no respect for the camera while Sarah tries to hide from it. Eddie B. slices up the biggest, thickest, cheesiest, most delicious looking pizza . . .
Brittany uses extreme caution when taking out her group's pizzas from the oven. Aforementioned pizzas Rhoda, Andi and Monica relax on the couch as the pizzas bake. Zac oversees the pizza extraction operations.
Abby takes some pizza for the group of late-comers. After the chow has been chowed, Sarah, Chris, Jesse and Benj do the dirty work. It's a dish washer revolt! Sarah threatens the photographer's life while Chris' stern look says it all! Jodi, Allison and Larissa chat by the fire as dinner wraps up.
Jodi and Allison "smile" for the camera. Zac and Andy tink around on the piano, offering the most moving rendition of "Heart & Soul" you'll ever hear. See below for a lovely video of the song. :) Zac and Jack (inside joke - not a typo, so don't e-mail me and tell me I mispelled Jake's name) check out a cell phone before the singing begins. Sarah, Andi, Rhoda and Monica get ready to sing the beautiful music of Christmas.
Jodi, Allison, Rosie and Larissa sit in the big circle as song books get passed out. Eddie B and Adam yuk it up while Andy, sitting next to Jimmy, tries his best to look busy. Andy, Eddie B and Adam carry all the gift-grab presents to the middle of the circle after singing. Jimmy makes Abby reach for the gift-grab number so to prevent any cheating that may occur.
Polly starts the action by picking the biggest gift out there. What on earth could it be? Two sleds, with something in them. Justin and Adam smile for the camera which was stolen from the rightful owner during the singing.
Tate helps Aaron open what may be the coolest gift given that night while Matt and Jesse looks on. Please note the awesome wrapping paper; what a lovely design! Larissa opens her gift while Rosie, Sarah and Andi look on. Jesse, Benj and Josh chat while the gift-grab takes place. Zac surveys all his options before picking a gift.
Elizabeth looks totally enthralled with her gift as she and others take part in the gift-grab. Adam looks over the available gifts after his McFlurry Maker was stolen. Justin and the gang look on. A chicken shooter. Poor, poor Chris . . .
Allison shows off the "mask" that was her gift. Sweet gift! Aaron displays his neon "PARTY" sign. The elder statesmen: Josh, Eddie B, Benj and Jesse Smile Jimmy! Be glad for what you have! Don't pout! Be glad you didn't get the Trump doll!
Eddie B and Benj pose by the Christmas tree. A clear sign that the evening has run its course and needs to end: Megan walking around with a napkin on her head which, by the way, actually looks like a Dutch girl hat. Ryan models his lovely paper-towel bow tie. Emily rides around in her cardboard box car. A great juxtaposition of two people's feelings.

After Food Baskets at Adam, Eddie B, Andy & Luke's
12/10/04
Jacob relaxes on the chair while avoiding the soda bottle during a rousing game of Bash-A-Friend, during which, by the way, Jimmy bloodied up the ceiling. You had to be there . . . Josh surveys the table while contemplating his next shot. Jesse loves his Mixed Berry 7 UP Plus!
Jimmy strains himself as he attempts a shot during a ping pong defeat to Steve. Unlike in the previous photo, Luke shows excellent ping pong form as the ball approaches. Steve keeps his eye on the ball during a ping pong game against Jimmily. Needless to say, Steve once again emerged as the victor.

Young Group Trip to Chicago
6/27/04 - 06/28/04

The Big Ferris Wheel, only $5 for a 7 minute ride. View of the Navy Pier from the Ferris Wheel. As we go higher, we spot some fellow YGers down below: John, Benj, Ryan and Mike at the bottom and Jack, KummDog and Tom above them. Looking East over the Pier at Lake Michigan. The ferris wheel really gives you a unique perspective of the city skyline, including the big black condo building, home to none other than Chicago Cubs slugger, #21, Sammy Sosa. Most people don't know this, but President Bush actually owns a building on Chicago's skyline. Just look for the building with the big 'W' on it. Ok, I just made that up. Steve and Andy try their hardest to avoid the camera, but I still got Andy . . . Andy and Jimmy are looking for people below to spit on. Just kidding. Jimmily Hubes and Adam "Jokemaster" Geyer cheese for the camera. Looking down at one of the Seadog boats and the water filtration building. Looking out over Lake Michigan you can see Indiana. Which reminds me of a joke: do you know why Chicago is so windy? Oh, never mind, I'm only allowed one bad joke per YG Trip. A group of YG ladies debate if they're going on the ride or not. It's really worth it if you get the chance. Brooke, Bethany, Ashley and Elizabeth sit and smile. What a happy & close bunch of peeps. You'll never catch 4 guys sitting that close unless they have to be! See! The ladies that did decide to go on the ferris wheel wait in line. Hehe, I hope they get car #21. Bummer . . . even though it's not #21, the gals still get in for a fun ride. Ashley and Elizabeth stand around watching the big wheel go around soooooooo sloooooooowwwwwww. Thats the sidewalk. My bad. Steve, Jimmy and Andy take a snooze next to the well-tanned dude. Onboard the Seadog before they open up their twin turbocharged deisel Cat engines. This closeup of Andy is payback for a closeup of me (Adam) which he took on the ferris wheel. Of course, please note that THAT photo is not on here. :) Steve & Jimmy enjoy the sights from the Seadog while Bethany and Patty smile for a photo. Timothy Funk and crew take in Chicago's skyline on our way out of the no wake zone. This lighthouse is marks the end of the no-wake zone. Anyone who takes a trip on the Seadog gets a new hairdo for free! We approach the first turn-around point. It's a bad photo, I know. Awwwww, did Steve find wuv . . . twu wuv? Chicago's impressive skyline as seen from the first turn-around point. View of the city as we race toward north Chicago. See previous photo. Steve, Bethany, Brenda Kieser, Patty & Jimmy watch Shooter McGavin make a scene. As we come back in to dock, another Seadog tour makes its way out. Brittany stole my camera for the next four photos. In this one, the Kummer sisters share some ice cream. Brittany and Joanna strike a smoochy pose. Brittany just had to get a photo of the sailors . . . Megan enjoys Starbucks before the IMAX movie. #21
